Caught a screening of „I Declare War“ at CIFF. What a tremendous film! It really captured what it felt like to have a best friend during childhood (the sense of loyalty and exclusiveness). Those were the most intense relationships of my life, especially when they came to an end. I thought the casting was just right and the performances outstanding (some of the best child acting I’ve seen, the characters of PK and Skinner were particularly memorable). „I Declare War“ also struck a great balance between lighthearted and more serious content. I was glad to see that the narrative did not descend into savagery (in the manner of „Lord of the Flies“). The humor added much. I absolutely loved the imaginary dialogue scenes between Jess and Quinn. All in all, the script was very tight and well thought out. Keep a look out for its theatrical release!

Rom-com flicks are one of genre which has not been experimented in Bollywood much lately. Gori Teri Pyaar Mein is refreshing change for Indian audiences who have witnessed an overdose of masala films in 2013.

Sriram Venkat(Played by Imran Khan) is good-for-nothing architect working in his dad’s firm who has no respect for any relationships. Dia (played by Kareena Kapoor) is a social crusader who wants to help the needy. They fell in love only to break-up. However, Sriram travels to a remote village to build a bridge for the local people to win back his love at any cost.

From the director of „I Hate Love Story“, Puneet Malhotra does a fine job in trying out something different. Though the love story is predictable, it is the treatment of subject that makes it set apart. The first half is hilarious, fun and has moments to remember. Second half begins with a bang but the climax makes it a spoilsport. How I wish it could be handled with maturity and overall it would have been a good rom-com to watch. Screenplay looses the steam and insertion of songs breaks the momentum of the film. Music by Vishal-Shekhar is a let down. Cinematography is eye-catching. Art direction is good. Dialogues are believable. Kareena Kapoor is the eye-candy of the film. She does an awesome job playing the social activist role with aplomb. Imraan Khan is good but still has to work on his expressions.

Overall, I liked the film and found it to be surprisingly fair entertainment. Good 3/5

I loved this movie!This Mindless Behavior Documentary is GREAT! I cried,laughed and even screamed at points, because well…Im a Mindless fan! It had great moments in the boys lived and it was just a great experience. It showed Mindless Behaviors tour life and them just having a fun time. I did not regret seeing this movie. They are my favorite boy group and the movie made me love them even more. It showed them growing up and growing closer to each other. It showed how four strangers became four brothers. Four heartbeats, beating as one. They way they move. They way they sing. It is amazing. It made me feel as if I was apart of their lives and I was there with them going through it all. That is what being a fan of MB is all about. Team Mindless 3 years strong. From December 2010 – FOREVER.

This film should have come with a prominent warning label. It is more about the unintelligible filmmaker than about Chomsky. It ignores Chomsky’s fascinating political persona, other than to allow him to briefly mention that he was in jail several times, without elaboration.

Very little of Chomsky comes through, since about 98% of the visuals are animations and hard-to-read hand scrawled subtitles, and the interviewer/filmmaker, who talks a lot, has an cripplingly heavy French accent and badly mispronounces many words to the extent that they can’t be comprehended at all. What immense irony — a film about linguistics made by someone who can’t use the language properly, yet insists on putting himself front-and-center, both verbally and visually.

Chomsky, one of the towering intellectual giants and political philosophers of our time, deserves much better than this.

Just finished watching it and i have to say, Aftershock is probably the worst movie i’ve ever seen. I’ve read other peoples reviews and it got me thinking; did they watch the same move as i did?! First of all the acting is painfully bad. So bad it almost made me want to throw something at the screen. The characters are really annoying (i was actually rooting for mother nature or the prisoners to catch and kill them all.*spoiler alert*they did,hurray) I don’t even know what else to say cause the ‚acting‘ was so awful it made me forget everything else about the movie. Only good thing was the beautiful music at the ending credits and the final 5 seconds when the tsunami chased down Miss Party killer. That’s all.
